Monday begins with another water main break in the area... while Yali is busy modifying a face mask with gaffer's tape at breakfast... and Patience totes out a full liter of milk to drink with an aluminum straw...
Yali then grabs his snake from the terrarium to join us for class... seems pretty chill to wrap himself around Yali's fingers and watch all the pencil and eraser action...
Most of their studies are concluded by noon as I realize for the first time that Patience has no idea who Shirley Temple is so I set her up with “Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm” for lunch...
...as Puck walks out to tousle Yali's freshly beeswaxed hair and complain about Patience using his toothpaste...
Two hours later Patience and I are coasting back from a play therapy session listening to Ralph Vaughan Williams' “Overture to the Wasps” on the radio...
Back home again Puck gets busy whacking at the steering column of the Lincoln to loosen a stubborn pin... while he barks at the mosquitos who seem particularly interested in what he's up to...
...as Oxbear and Yali leave for Yali's very first fencing class about half an hour west...
Before dark Puck snuffs out the tiki torch and returns indoors for Starburst...
...and Oxbear and Yali return around eight o'clock... Yali shows off his rented gear and fencing foil... pumped...
