After the grab bag morning class mix of fights and crazies... Yali and Patience suddenly find equilibrium in the mutual activity of creasing and tearing and folding and pencil-labeling squares of red and blue paper for nearly three hours... by the end of it they've labeled two hundred squares... “Should we go for three hundred?” Patience asks Yali // “No” **satisfied perusal** “I think two hundred is enough...”
Meanwhile Puck has already been gone for hours... back sloughing it in Wentzville building up the Renaissance fair with his buddy J...
And Oxbear is packing his bags to cross the Pacific next morning...
Afternoon is hot... but a heat index pressing past ninety-six doesn't keep Yali and Patience from burying a poor baby bunny the dog found in the yard... Yali solemnly instructs Patience to fill a glass A&W mug with water and pour it on the dirt of the landscaping near the back patio to loosen it... after several mugfuls he then spades out a hole to slip in the little cardboard box... the dirt is then mounded over it before they place several silk flowers the color of butter... leftover from a gifted Easter arrangement... and speak a few words over the departed critter...
Oxbear's time is then fully hogged into the later evening as Yali and Patience rake in all the dad time available to them before his nine-day travels into Southeast Asia...
