While Yali and Patience are back for more of their Australian adventure at church...

...Puck is out in the heat running sprints and bear crawling across the front yard in his Taco Bell t-shirt and cargo pants... at this point in our nearly nine-year neighborhood tenure I really don't think the neighbors note the oddities that occur on our property anymore...

After another successful day of Vacation Bible School for the “tots” of the family...

...bus Patience out to St. Charles County to begin her summer job as “paid companion” to cousin R...

The heat has been turned on again in St. Louis... and the boys aren't really into it... all busy with various electronics into the afternoon... Yali heating up a spoon in hot water to dig into the ultra-frozen chocolate ice cream...

Puck leaves for work at three...

And I grab Patience at four after her first day on the job where the gang is hanging out on the front lawn and R wants a piggyback before Patience leaves... Patience also stashes some digital cash to save up for her dream pair of Nike shoes and – as she reminds me – the Bible fund at VBS...

Meanwhile Oxbear and Yali are leaving for an evening amongst snakes and lizards at the local Chick-fil-A for “Reptile Night”... his favorite specimen that evening is the American alligator...

And Patience is busy chatting with me on the drive to the studio about things like the rocks left on tombstones in Jewish cemeteries and strawberry Kit-Kats and homelessness...

After a few more back-and-forths that night... driving home around nine... windows down... chirping peepers... stunning cloud-glow show in the dark blue west...
