Yali shaking a tub of “Favorite Day” trail mix like maracas slowly turning it into dust before I realize what he's doing... peanuts and raisins are extracted and served to the dog...

Patience is at the studio for two hours... leaves a half-eaten crumpled breakfast pancake on the center console as she hops out of the car... eyes too big...

Mama back in the kitchen washing dishes sipping a mug of black tea... “The Girl From Ipanema” on the radio...

Yali and Patience want to get back in the pool... just hot enough for it... jump back in the car...
