It's one of Yali's least-favorite days of the year – hospital appointments involving needles – and he's feeling it as he pulls on his Harry Potter t-shirt and jeans for the morning... but first it's play therapy in South County...

...while back home Patience asks me to show her how to make egg salad...

Early afternoon and Yali is gone to Imaging and Nephrology... I don't mention that he's missing swimming with his cousins... no salt for wounds on a day where needles are involved...

Meanwhile Patience is finally getting that shopping trip she's been planning... she's got cash to spend on wardrobe upgrades... which includes two secondhand dresses and then a pair of “church sandals” from Target studded with large pearls across the band... throw in a dragonfruit-scented beauty item (because sometimes it's fun to get things that friends have) and she is a happy kid...

Speaking of happy kids... there's another one driving back from the hospital... after all the mental prep... Oxbear's “bear hug holds” weren't actually required for the lab... no needles prescribed after all... big smiles...

Back home Puck is crowing for more BLTs as I open an email from the Red Cross preemptively thanking me for Puck's service and offering their services in return... guess I'm an “Army mom” now...

Then Patience to the studio before swimming with friends and a build-your-own-taco dinner in Kirkwood...

...Puck is hanging out with J for the evening...

...and Oxbear and Yali are working on costumes back home...

They keep busy...
