It's a morning for Cahokia-style Native American flute while serving a steady current of hot plates through the morning for the masses... soft-boiled egg on toast and double-layered BLTs and quesadillas with sides of julienned veg... it's a short-order cook day...

And Oxbear takes a late-morning break to hustle Yali and Patience to Aquaport for an hour – leaving as it closes due to lightning seven miles away – before “Big City Greens” at lunch and a little hot rain past the windows oscillating between brilliant contrast greens and yellows as the sun slips in and out of the sky...

As a severe thunderstorm warning rolls into the county... drive Patience out to the studio... most of the whole hour she's in there... heavy splashing rain and rolls of thunder...

Back home Yali and Patience give the dog a Burt's Bees oatmeal bath in the carport... and she still somehow ends up smelling worse than before they started... maybe like a stack of French toast that sat out too long...

Then down to the B family in Pevely through more cracking lightning for movie night to celebrate Sally's birthday a day late... homemade cheeseburgers and mac 'n cheese... discussing taxes until Francis brings the ice cream cake... and Alfred Hitchcock followed by several rounds of Scattergories involving extensive discussions on various topics such as whether or not the microbiome can be considered “part of the human body”...
