Sitting at the card table in the basement for morning classes… Puck set it up for the kids with a little space heater…

After the three R’s, Yali and Patience wrap up in blankets on either side of me as I switch on the cozy feel-good of “Thirteen Lives” (with adjustments for a few “unsettling scenes”)… Patience is so “into it” that I allow her to skip her afternoon violin lesson with me

But it’s getting late and we have to stop before the end to…

Drive with Oxbear to Costco for cafe items for dinner

Drop off Patience at the studio

Drop off Oxbear at the old school to conduct new family interviews

Puck picks up Yali and me from the old school right after he gets off work

The three of us stop by McD’s for Puck to order a Dr. Pepper and fries (“You

want anything?” he asks as we discuss his future plans for 2025)

Pick up Patience from the studio and finally drive home…

…where they all experiment with a 3D-printed top that spins so fast, it can be knocked onto the floor and it still keeps spinning

Oxbear is snoozing on the couch before nine o’clock while we watch “Elementary”… he’d been up till about two o’clock in the morning preparing a work presentation
