A trabble
Yali is in full grump mode preparing his lunchbox for summer camp that morning... “THE OTHER KIDS ALWAYS GET LUNCHABLES AND I HAVE TO HAVE THIS BORING STUFF!” he bellows...
...as Patience is wailing pop songs to herself while she scoots the dog out into the yard to keep her from using the driveway as a bathroom...
...then she's back inside trying to pack chili for lunch but she can't find the top to her thermos and most of the Pyrex storage containers have broken by now...
...throw a pot of eggs to boil on the stove...
“Found the lid to my thermos!” Patience announces...
...before she and Yali crowd into the Honda in swimsuits and bags of goggles and snacks... as we drive north they begin imagining aloud between themselves that “Mom's nails are blue! She's turning into a vampire!”...
Back home to clean and organize through the morning and afternoon...
Oxbear walks out between meetings to share that the caps on his nerdy keyboard are 3D-printed so he can replace them if – when – they break... “Hot dog in a blanket!” he declares...
Hit a meeting online with Patience's therapist after lunch...
Puck to a five-hour shift in Produce...
...and the dog howl-woofing at everyone who passes on the street... can't tell the difference between a car burglar and a baby in a stroller...
Kids happy and chatty after camp learning all about ocean creatures... including time in the pool with friends...
Speech therapy online for Patience at home...
Picking up Puck from work in a soft rain that turns into a blitz...
...as Oxbear and I drop the minivan at the dealership to repair the A/C... roaring rain into the night as the kids continue listening to “The Witch of Blackbird Pond” in their bunks...
For grins : partial Googling record of June...
