Wake to a deep cold that morning... low mist in a quiet world...

But the service is full as always... Lutherans aren't much scared of the cold...

Afterwards Patience wrapped in layered and oversized pastels laps at her styrofoam cup of hot cocoa like a puppy before running out to the cold across the parking lot to Sunday School...

...while I sit through Lutheran perspectives of the saints...

The boys are back from Elephant Rocks... a cold night of ghost stories and frozen stars... survived...

Oxbear hits a nap in a couple hours of quiet...

And then a fall colors drive south... all five of us... woods painted through in a deep sunset of shades...

There's a stop at A&W because it's only common sense when passing by Arnold...

And then a car battery from AutoZone for Puck's sleepy Lincoln...

Dark drapes drawing over the world... everyone busy with personal escapades...

...including Justin the snake coiled cozily under his heat lamp on a cedar log in his kennel...

...Oxbear stitching up Yali's beleaguered Spiderman costume...

...Puck wanders out for a glass of grape juice to mock Patience's TV fairytales... “What even is this?”...

But Patience... who is very busy slapping band-aids on ice skating injury blisters that won't go away... only sees this as an opportunity for fresh chit-chat in topic and vocabulary that sends Puck on fast retreat to the kitchen for that grape juice...
