Dribbling piano from Oxbear's phone starting the early morning as Yali throws himself onto our bed dressed for church and hair slicked over... including maroon bowtie around his shirt collar... just like Puck at 12...

An hour later... pipe organ and rain falling past stained glass...

Yali's feeling the need to take a break from the loud crowd of a combined summer Sunday School so the two of us sit in the car watching the sea battle from “Ben-Hur”... Yali is into it...

Swoop past Aldi for milk and pita crackers before driving home...

Afternoon driving Puck to work...

...Oxbear trimming back all the honeysuckle hedges...

...Yali holding the garden hose above his head in the carport soaked to his bones in old shoes and jeans and collared shirt and hoodie and jean jacket and even a heavy cowboy-style straw hat... yelling like a caveman...

Later in the afternoon he can be observed balancing on one foot on the back corner of the couch... homemade orange citrus ice pop in one hand... Justin the snake in the other...

Peach sky in the night as firecrackers begin to sizzle...
