A Ghoulish Night
Monday, November 1, 2004
November 1st dawned soggy and windy, a perfectly cozy day. Collette had enjoyed the evening before of donuts and cider, the gilly suits, Dutch dolls, Indian princesses, and Mexicans running around with pillowcases of candy. The parents had discussed politics and religion in the kitchen and all passed slowly into the night. After several hours of Star Trek, OLeif had returned from a party with his friend, and both he and Collette fell quickly asleep as the rain blew about beyond the windows.
A new pastor had also been selected for the church, one of the name Sinai Hatch, and his wife, Rosie. After the holidays they would be joining their church, after a vote of 105 to 7, in agreement, with one extension. Collette was not certain yet that she was entirely happy with the results. But what was done was done, and moving on was the only option.
She sighed as she worked on the computer. There was much to be done. The golden spires of San Fransisco’s bridge twinkled at her from the web cam on her screen. She had been following the itinerary of the Princess’ Sapphire ship which was currently completing four excursions of the Mexican Riviera. It was a fun thing to watch the places they traveled, minute by minute, whenever she wished.
