All Those Days

In which the day is spent in a number of useful activities…

It was pleasantly cold that morning.
The quiet of home resumed.
OLeif was off by five.
As Collette took advantage of the ‘sleeping in’ possibility — this time a success — Puck was already busy asking questions…
“Mama? Do you know when the end of the world will be?”
“No…” was her groggy response.
“Yes you do! It’s at the end! Silly Mama…”

Reading lesson #17.
The park, or in other words, the Tardis. They spent about an hour imagining out the star decks before departing.
On the leave, Puck had questions and comments…
“How big is Jesus? He’s bigger than the St. Loo-lis Arch!”
“Why do those green arrows [stoplights] go up to the sky? It makes me think that I can go up into the air.”
He also wanted to know whether he would be able to wear underwear in Heaven…
“I don’t know, Puck…”
This made him a little cross…
“I have to wear underwear and pants. Not just a robe.”

Aldi.
Puck was pleased to select three yogurts of his choice.
Working the check-out: a subtly-Cherokee smaller-features version of Matt Smith who seemed busy studying between customers…
“Bye, buddy!” he called after Puck.

During Quiet Hour, Collette was typing at the kitchen table…
“Mama!” Puck shrieked from his room. “Where does dust come from!”
“Skin! And animals and plants!” was the return shout.
“Oh! But how does it get into houses!”
“Doors! Windows! Holes!”
“Oh!”
Such yelling conversations were not uncommon during Quiet Hour…

Library.
A few good reads over an hour, and some schmaltzy Irish fiddling to bring home.

In other news…
Francis was finally officially testing for his Life Guard License that evening.
And Donkey was in Norway with the reindeer.

OLeif returned in time for grilled sandwiches and tomato soup, to bring Puck on a bike ride, Skyping an elder at Chris OPC regarding the website, and a dig-in to the homework for the week.

And Mom and Dad were home on the 9:15 plane from Sun Valley, California, after a fifty-minute delay to repair a part.
