And I've no doubt there's truth in what they say.
Saturday August 12, 2006
All of Saturday was spent for Dad, Collette, Joe, Wallace, Curly, Rose, Israel, Frances, and Linnea constructing and/or supervising progression on the great Eagle project, from seven in the morning till near five in the evening. And the results were very nice, although the pouring of cement would have to take place another day.
During the process, Cheeseits were scattered among the rocks and rubble (mostly due to Rose, who also wielded the hammer for awhile), and Frances pogo-sticked on an old shovel while the older boys discussed the soap-box derby coming up in the future and their plans. And Dad set up his old Poor Brothers Incorporated surveying equipment back from the old pool-building days.
The day ended with the three boys heading to an Eagle Scout ceremony and OLeif, Collette, Rose, and Molly hitting the church movie night before meeting Ben-Hur for a late dinner at Steak ‘n Shake where they discussed baptism and Molly’s new friend.
