Bing’s 20th birthday.

Monday evening, after dropping off the dented green car for a safety inspection the next day and after a quick meatloaf dinner at the Silverspoon’s Monday night, Theodore and Denae presented OLeif with his late birthday gift: a new leather-bound Reformation Study Bible. And after a brief stop at the grocery store for some extra items they returned home for a movie night. Unfortunately…

Collette awoke the next morning to discover that OLeif had forgotten to put away the groceries from the night before. And so the sausages, cheese, sour cream, and cinnamon rolls hit the dust bin. But the bread and jam were saved.

Later that morning, Collette heard from Mom that Cousin Polly was almost engaged to a Christian Latino lawyer currently teaching and speaking in China. And because he thought American girls were too materialistic, he was considering not buying Polly an engagement ring.

But I want a ring,” Polly had said rather disappointed.

Meanwhile, Uncle Hilario and Aunt Corliss were flying to Australia to visit Jashub where he would also be taking them over to New Zealand for a spell.

That day, it had been exactly one year ago that Mrs. Pretzel had gone to be with Jesus.
