Another Day

In which the tone of one day bleeds into the next…

For the morning…
The rainish yellow-green weather continued, although a good degree cooler.
The transmission was replaced in the car. No 2011 Vortex Blue Pearl Honda Fit for the present.
Puck spent an hour alone reading The Chronicle of the World.
He then incidentally shattered the floor-length mirror while he was in the bathroom.
Gluten-free peanut butter cookies.
Researching photos for Dad’s site.
They also spent a small amount of time discussing the bedroom arrangement when Puck’s baby brother arrived.
“You and your brother may sleep in the library,” said Collette. “And Daddy can use the green room until maybe your little sister can come from China.”
“But where will Daddy work?” Puck asked.
“Maybe in our room.”
“What if Daddy could work on the roof?” he grinned.

Disaster photos of Joplin.
Sobering at the least…

The skies were tepid, that untyped shade of brown and gray.

In the afternoon…
Fresh, hot rice bread.
Puck found an engorged baby tick on his person…

OLeif returned at around 3:30 in the afternoon. His work was completed for the week. So back home to register his bike, drop in at the bank, and then some Minecraft with the Puckster.
When OLeif had returned, Puck made his apologies.
“I knocked that over in the living room, Daddy. I wanted to be sorry for that. I touched some things in your library without permission But I wanted to be sorry for that too…”
And as the day drew to a close, Puck had more thoughts to share…
“You know what God sees when he looks down on me? He sees happiness in my heart.”

And a little La Liga and Land of the Pharaohs.
