Any Old Day of the Week

Four o’clock.

Puck and Heidi were running around the gym with two other kids, sweaty, red faces, laughing.

Yali walked amongst them wearing a box around himself like a robe, which he confiscated from the recycling pile. Takes after big brother.

Goldfish crackers spilled on the rubber floor, backpacks, coats, and shoes strewn anywhere they happened to land.

Sounded pretty much like any normal after-school Thursday.
