April 21
The morning began with another aftershock, early. Another 4.5. Once again, Collette had not felt it arrive.
After Puck’s one year-old check-up, (which was not a pleasant experience due to his bout of stranger anxiety), OLeif dropped off Collette and Puck at the house for the usual Monday tutoring.
Carrie was inside preparing stuffed tomatoes and marinating salmon for the grill, later that evening for dinner. She was becoming the Snicketts chef, much to the enjoyment of all the family (except maybe for Linnea, who was the pickiest of all picky eaters).
Outside, before Frances left for baseball practice, he and Joe had a huge kick ball bash in the backyard and warm winds with Joe’s giant exercise ball.
And on the way home, Collette noticed that for the first time, the trees really seemed to be turning green.
