While Yali and Patience spend most of Tuesday with their Yellow Bird group...

I scoot back to the old school for two hours of glue guns... and a thank-you pair of beautiful fringed earrings bought off Steps Beach in Puerto Rico from C.P. ...

Plate up some meats for Puck at home... finishing another work-out before returning to Produce for the first time in nine days after his paid vacation... discussing Army National Guard details in depth...

Kids run out of Yellow Bird with the fuchsia of tiny freshly potted celosias...

Drop off Yali at home with Oxbear (Puck has already left for five hours at work)...

Patience and I bus a pan of baked chicken and a box of Crumble Cookie out to the Big House for the Mc family... meet the newest cousin for the first time... alert dark eyes...

Back home to Yali lightly hobbling towards us wearing a tissue and scotch taped bandage around his left knee... describes the epic dog-and-cat battle that ensued shortly before we arrived... blood stains flecked across the dog's snout... solitary cat claw embedded in her brow...

Puck then calls from the refrigerated back room at work to discuss work schedules on his break while I re-bandage Yali's knee with something less dramatic...

After packed Mandarin orange chicken wraps and “Malcolm in the Middle” for dinner...

Oxbear drops myself and the kids to pick up the Toyota from Puck at work... Yali's whirling around the Schnucks parking lot practicing attack motions with a plastic sword when I emerge with the van keys...

While Oxbear attends his first church voters meeting as an elder...

Yali and I then escort Patience to the studio for a two-hour class...

...which leaves Yali with me to himself back home... “Look! Look! Look, Mom! Mom! Mom, look! Look! Look!”... sometimes this exclamation is accompanied by various recently popular dances such as “the floss” or sometimes with props... such as wearing a wooden folding chair around his neck as he performs a little soft shuffle in the kitchen while I'm washing the dishes...

Oxbear returns much earlier than expected from the voters meeting to repair the taillight on my Civic... while Yali walks around the yard spinning a small Buzz Lightyear action figure attached to a lightning cable in wide circles through the air...

Pick up Puck from work... home again... pick up Patience from the studio... stop by Schnucks for in-shell peanuts and a sleeve of rainbow bagels... because my kids have random and spontaneous and probably very ADHD interests...

Young ones and Oxbear asleep... Puck and I return to watching “House”...
