More gray. More rain. And more cold.
A typical day at the house: Kumon, pre-algebra, and Portuguese.
Then at ten o’clock, Collette arrived at the church office for a tutorial in taking attendance, etc., which she would be doing the following week while Forget-me-Not was out for the week.
As Collette left an hour later, the sun had broken out for the first time that day, although only temporarily.
Back at the house, Puck was not feeling much like taking a nap. And once two o’clock had come around, he was ready to join Collette, Francis, and Linnea on a trip out to groceries.
Once arrived, Puck tried to slide a bottle of grape jelly into the cart with no one seeing it. However, Collette managed to catch it before entering the check-out.
She allowed a treat for the kids before they left. As soon as Collette mentioned ‘treat’, Linnea scooted over to the buffet of fried chicken, roasted potato wedges, and creamy mac and cheese. Her eyes were almost dancing at the thought. But Mom already had lentil stew and bread at home, so Collette guided Linnea’s interests to the bakery, where she picked up a box of mini chocolate donuts, in which the rest of the family also partook when they returned.
The last part of the afternoon was used up with Francis helping the neighbors move some of their earthly possessions into a U-Haul to ship to Colorado in a first batch. The neighbors who had been there longer than the Snicketts family themselves. At least 25 years…
And then to Kumon with Francis for a quick check-in.
OLeif returned from his carpool with Rose towards six o’clock. Then home for some chill time with BallyK, OLeif’s usual design projects, and a quiet, cool evening.
