April 27
After OLeif, Collette, and Puck arrived late at church (due to the fact that they had to turn around for home as soon as they initially pulled into the parking lot because Collette had left Puck’s bag on the kitchen counter)… they went to the Silverspoon’s for the afternoon.
Collette was surprised at the coolness of the day. The green had finally come out. And rain was coming. It started to fall around the time they ate lunch: large chicken sandwiches, ribs, salad, etc.
Denae had to tell the boys to “stop” several times, mostly when Theodore just sat at the other end of the table shaking his head over the ridiculous conversation matter: shark attacks, blood, whoopie cushion effect buttons, etc. Then they talked about a few things involving intelligence (i.e. string theory), and redeemed themselves, except for Curly, who tried to make jokes instead.
Once Puck had woken from his nap, Theodore put together the new banister for the basement. The boys recorded “John Henry” and “Waltzing Matilda”. Denae ran to the store with Puck for cookie-making ingredients. Then OLeif made cookies while Collette and Izzy watched most of the first Arnold Schwarzenegger movie: “True Lies”.
