April 30

Things were becoming warmer again.
Most of the day was spent at the house working with Joe on his mathematics, and watching another “Midsomer Murders” with Carrie. Mom had taken Frances and Linnea to SAT testing at church. They returned later with Creole just in time for pulled chicken sandwiches. Collette got the idea that neither boys ate an actual lunch. She saw them bolt for the basement door with a tub of chocolate ice cream. But she didn’t say anything.
Dad, Carrie-Bri, Joe, and Frances were leaving mid-morning on Friday for Wisconsin. A full weekend seminar on building airplanes.
