As Thursdays Go

In which papers are edited and children are watched… always more children to be watched…

Puck woke them early.
“I ‘fink’ Sebastian needs to be feeded.”
Those ‘th’s would come some day.
OLeif cranked up some Queen while he haphazardly prepared for his camping trip the following evening.
“When you go home, will you bring me a pair of jeans… Oh, I don’t have any jeans. Snapdragon.”
Shortly later, Puck saw his Daddy off to work on his bike…
“On your mark!… Get set!… Go!”
Vroom.

As the quick morning progressed, Collette chopped into a review of Dad’s final 99-paged dissertation proposal.

In the afternoon, passing numerous fuel stations sitting in $2.98/gallon (unleaded) on the way home, and a cell tower that someone — maybe to be funny — had disguised as an enormous Myst-like pine tree… and around supervising three small active souls, Collette learned that somehow OLeif had lost his pants on the way to work. Fortunately, they were not the pants he was wearing at the time, but rather, his motorcycle pants, strapped to his bike. Unfortunately, they were his only motorcycle pants, and had not exactly come with a thrifty price tag.

Meanwhile, Linnea and Mom were employed in endless volleyball, and the girls were meeting friends from church for coffee in The Loop.

And back to the Silverspoon’s for Comedy.
OLeif got in around 7:30, soaked from the rain on his bike, and began rustling together camping gear for Friday night.
And Collette ignored the Key Lime Pie in the freezer. For awhile anyway…
