Mercy was 25 that day.

Mom and the boys met up with Uncle Mo, Aunt Petunia, Grandma, and Linus at seven o’clock in the morning to begin their first day of eleven hours across Missouri and Kansas, in two cars.

“Look at me! Look at me!” Puck sang out at breakfast, stirring up his oatmeal. “I make a road! I make stairs!”

Linnea was soon dropped off at the house for the day. They started their morning with another trip to the park under warm sun, blue skies, and blankets of white clouds slowly drifting in from the west.

“Moon! Moon!” Puck cried out, pointing to the sky.
And then when the clouds came in:
“Where’d moon go?”
And later…
“There he is!” with a dimpling grin.

This was followed with a little while in the cool of the library, which was a novelty for Puck.

In the afternoon, Puck once again returned to his Tupperware of water on the front porch, this time joined by Linnea.
They watered the lawn together.
And then a bubble bath for the happy little Puck.

For the evening, Rose and Linnea were spending the night. So Collette made pepperoni pizzas. OLeif brought home a ginger ale. And once the chubby Puckling was down for the night, OLeif, Rose, and Linnea played Sim City.
And they ended the evening with cookies and cream ice cream and Coraline.
