Home.

Experiments in radio from Oceania, Dutch pop, Brazil, Ireland, and Morocco that morning. iTunes offered it all.

Before the day became too hot, Puck lugged out his sidewalk chalk to the front porch. Out they rolled.

Come back here, you sillies,” he said with a laugh. “You’re gonna miss all the fun!”

In the afternoon, Puck woke up to finally eat his little package of two Oreo cookies. Then he listened to Collette read from Augustine’s Confessions while he doodled on ‘maps’ he found from Collette’s Bible (i.e. Sunday School papers, the history of the Moleskine).

“I have many things to do today,” he said seriously.

Then he pulled out a little black Macbook remote and pretended to call up his grandma throughout the next several hours.

Bath at three for Puck with replenished strawberry bubble bath, after he had poured out the entire previous batch, while Collette checked out the current temperature. 102. It hadn’t felt quite that hot on the walk to the mailbox…

You live without frenzy,

You are jealous yet secure,

You regret without sadness,

You grow angry yet remain tranquil,

You alter Your works but never your plan;

You take back what You find although You never lost it;

You are never in need yet You rejoice in Your gains,

Never avaricious yet You demand profits.
