Back to School

Monday, September 8, 2008

It was the first day back to a full school course for Francis and Linnea.
Everyone else had already been busy. In fact, Carrie had never stopped during the summer. She spent all day studying on the couch, mingled with cups of tea, and begging Mom to take her to the grocery store for more muffins. She didn’t even take a break to sit up on the roof and watch the clouds.
“So… cold!” she sputtered, wrapped up in sweats and Uggs.
After class, Joe drove Collette and Puck to Granada so that Collette could purchase his birthday gift – a Specialized mini cargo pack for his bike. Then he hit the roads yet again for another brief six-miler.
Rose hid behind her glasses all day, studying research methods in psychology for another exam that Friday.
Collette and Puck stayed outside for part of the morning tossing basketballs to each other on the driveway. Puck padded his chubby feet along the pavement calling out for “Bahs, bahs!” whenever one got away from him.
