Baldy

OLeif and Puck came to Collette’s appointment that morning so that Puck could meet the nurses and Dr. Brazil.

“Hey, baldy,” Dr. Brazil rubbed his little fuzzy head.

He was a hit with the nurse too.

“Oh, do you think mom and dad would let me take you home for awhile?” She asked him and gave him a kiss on the top of his head.

That evening, Mom, Carrie-Bri, Joe, and Rose went to Shakespeare on the Green to view Much Ado About Nothing with double-cream Brie and crackers, chocolate covered pretzels, and juices. They were meeting up along the way with the Tecumsehs, Wallace and Starr, Denae, Curly, and Izzy, and Lolli. Afterward, there were plans for the boys to bunk over at Joe’s and the girls at Lolli’s before they hit Six Flags early the next morning. Summer and its excursions…

Collette and Puck opted to stay behind in the end, as OLeif was working till nine. Puck would have to wait to try on his new little outfits that Rose bought for him at his next social gathering, including one outfit that read “Baby Bug Club” on the front. Another came with a brown ball cap. He did look quite charming in it for a baby.

That night, Collette fell asleep to the sound of OLeif’s electric razor buzzing from the bathroom.

The next morning after Puck had awaken for a long breakfast to cut his eight and a half hour fast, Collette brought him back to snuggle with OLeif for awhile who was bundled up in blankets and pillows.

Something looked funny.

“OLeif, where’s you hair?”

OLeif’s eyes popped open and he moved the pillows from around his head. Yes, it was definitely gone.

“You look like a thug from the back,” Collette told him. “Wear a collared shirt today so you don’t look biker.”

Now there was another baldy in the family.
