In which the beauties of autumn are enjoyed…
Puck had the particulars of his morning already worked out…
“I can’t listen to Big Music during breakfast, Mama. That music is only for when I’m eating eggs.”
They made a stop by Target for a three-dollar shower liner for the following afternoon’s photo shoot, and then the cigar shop on the way to the Silverspoon’s to celebrate Theodore’s birthday, where Izzy (who was considering studying in Munich) shortly later joined them, crashing through the front door…
“Oh, look!” said Gloria. “It’s Isaac!… And his… laundry…”
The boys got down to the usual business of a late Saturday morning. This included photos of a buck farm owned by one of Theodore’s clients. Visitors would pay 10K-20K to take a shot at this specimen of wildlife. Pay for trophies, as Theodore put it.
Taco salad and turtle pie.
Gifts included an appropriately-Jack striped shirt and sweater, gold-toe socks, and promise of a book (in the mail).
Collette departed shortly later as the boys began ultimate Minecraft marathons.
In the early evening, Collette and Carrie-Bri joined Rose downtown at Memorial. Rose had been gone since 7:30 in the morning, helping a friend clean house all day due to a severe dust allergy, before her baby was born.
Memorial and the city in October. Nothing more beautiful.
Afterwards, the art gallery was opened to the pepper-red-headed artist’s spread for the cool, dark evening.
What followed was Rose departing immediately for an Apple appointment to repair a co-worker’s iPhone. And then the exhibit that Dr. Wintershine diagnosed for them as ‘creepy Day of the Dead clowns’. Bright colors, wine, and trays of red cake pops, fruit, cheese, and crackers. And the tunes of old band music.
