Burgers and Projects

Saturday, September 13, 2008

It was another Saturday for work. By 8:30 in the morning, OLeif and Puck were off to see Nana at home. Colette spent the rest of her day preparing quinoa and lentil stew, cleaning, and finishing the long-awaited project of writing Linnea’s birthday book.
The cover was to be black with red letters.
For lunch, OLeif picked up Red Robin with a gift card received from work. After mesmerizing themselves in red meat and French fry comas, OLeif continued the never-ending process of website design, while Colette began the new and interesting process of learning how to use Dragonspeak.
When they picked up the Puck later that afternoon, he was busy reading books with his Nana. Izzy was about to leave for work, and Theodore had been napping after a long drive through the rain from across the state.
OLeif was enjoying seminary. Returning to school after a break of nearly six years had been, strangely enough, an enjoyable and relatively simple experience. He also kept busy with finishing a recent logo design for a new church plant in Iowa City at the request of Scott Hamilton Pie, completing the church website, and numerous other side projects.
All in all, it was the good life.
