In which the quiet Christmas week nearly concludes…

The chickens were back, in demanding indignant plumes and ruffles, and continued to tap at the patio glass in a fat clucking cube of feathers for the better part of the day.
A little arnica on Puck’s growing pains calf.
And OLeif had been reading E.E. Cummings.

A Christmas card and check arrived from Puck’s Aunt Laurel in the mail. On the front was the Grinch; also one of his favorite songs that season. He walked out to the patio to show the chickens the card. They gathered around curiously.
M’nMs shared.
Further research for books and analyses.

As the regular year began to wind down to a close, OLeif was out with his buddies for the night.
And there was always more work to be done.
