Cars, Bikes, & Cars

Collette thought about Joe a lot that Tuesday. For Joe, it was cars, bikes, and cars. It was what he loved. War and jets and fighter pilots also made the cut. But it was cars that lit up his eyes. It was cars he loved. Collette wished there was something she could find for him to work on in college – something to incorporate his interests. There were so many things Joe could do. Collette had no doubt he would do wonderfully at whatever he took up. There was always that search to find the right thing, as Carrie-Bri had struggled the previous summer. And Joe was there at the same point, trying to figure it all out. There was always that glimmer of sun beyond the valley though, and it never left, no matter how confused or frustrated the future seemed for the present. Collette kept those things in mind often, regarding “the kids”.
