Catalina
Monday, January 25, 2010
It was a typical Monday morning.
Gray in the skies, chiseled ice bits falling from it…
Over at the house, there were the usual studies and projects… and nothing very out of the normal.
In the afternoon, Carrie roasted teas for her first test batches.
Come evening, OLeif, Collette, and Puck met with Catalina at Starbucks for photos, video, etc. about her two years in Sudan. She had also brought gifts for them: two beaded necklaces for Collette, a spearhead for OLeif, and even a tiny beaded bracelet for Puck, which he looked at in awe and had Collette tie onto his wrist. He munched down a cranberry scone by himself and then Catalina presented them one of her beautiful framed black and white photograph of one of the children in Sudan.
It was good to see Catalina again. She would be gone for two years to Scotland. And then maybe again back to Africa.
