Celebrate a little more

Daylight cracks open with the first heat wave of the year...

Oxbear and Yali have birthday plans with "Uncle B" and cousin Ju... so while they seek a little A/C at the City Museum...

Patience hits the studio for two hours...

...while Puck is enjoying the seven months he has at home before “shipping out”... he calls me while I'm driving back to grab Patience... “Chick-fil-A” // “Didn't you get Freddy's yesterday?” // “Yes... but that was to celebrate the Army thing” // “What's this one to celebrate... the hottest day of the year?” // **thinking** “Yes”...

Early afternoon... quick stop by the library in a baking 108 heat index for a book on quantum physics and then a couple paper sacks of nuggets and fries down the street...

Meanwhile the birthday gang has transferred to Fozzie's Sandwich Emporium... before stopping to pick up Patience for the pool... but the public water park is so stuffed with kids seeking retreat from the sun that they transfer to Uncle B's aunt's pool instead with pomegranate lemonades and popsicles...

The heat isn't beating Puck back indoors either... he packs up his new 2600 lb. pull weight fishing magnet to pick up J for more exploration on the Missouri River...

...while Mama does the finances sitting amidst Yali's recent explosion of 3D plastics shards and bits of yellow flannel...

...and the dog chases a spider racing across the floor... and eats it... doing God's work... or rather... the cats'...
