CLUE

5:51: Puck awake.

Blueberry oatmeal.

TED Talks: electric cars.

The rain still fell. The shrubbery on the fence was already heavily weighed with bunches of honeysuckle, and the rain only added to it.

When Collette asked Puck if he wanted a pear to wrap up his breakfast, Puck looked into the bowl and noticed a small brown bruise on the ripening pear.

No,” he replied. “It has a bang.”

After picking up Donkey from the house, it was over to the Silverspoon’s, where Izzy had already been gone since 4:45 to the Hungary-fundraiser rummage sale.

In the rainy afternoon, just before three o’clock, OLeif and Collette attended a viewing of CLUE, a musical, put on by Izzy and a handful of his friends. Izzy was acting as Professor Plum. German as Colonel Mustard. Charlie as Mr. Boddy. And Adam-Age as both the pianist and, subsequent murderer. And a humorous cast it was. Reminiscent, in some ways, of the good old Mr. Sing play days, way back when…

Back at the Silverspoon’s there was a glass dish of brownies. And Gloria was busy re-caulking the tub before hitting the seven o’clock performance.
