Cold Continued
Tuesday, November 20, 2007
Puck was still working on his cold by Tuesday morning. He found comfort in his wind-up penguin from Grandma, and did his best to be happy.
In another part of the world it was Apple’s 23rd birthday down in Sydney. And with her birthday, the week of birthdays in November had ended.
OLeif was out to lunch with Reuben Honey. That left Collette and Puck without a ride at the house. Puck thought it was fun taking a ride on Collette’s back for part of the morning. Of course as soon as Collette put him back on the rug, he made a mad dash for the stack of papers under the coffee table. Collette pulled him away just as he knocked out her paperwork for Israel. The little goofy fella.
In other news… well, there just wasn’t a lot of that those days. Diana had visited New York City over the weekend, and had returned. Dad was wrapping up another semester of his Masters classes. Carrie was on cloud nine from finishing her Masters. Joe was partying it up with Wally all week. Mom was busy being Pollyanna, as usual.
Everyone had something to do. Life wasn’t always a carnival. But even the less thrilling things were sometimes the best.
Come evening, Puck was very interested in chewing on his “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” book and whined about his plight.
And November continued.
