Collette was in a colorful mood that one fine gray Sunday morning. And so with her very non-vibrant black pants, she put on a sweater of bright thick strips in banana yellow, burnt orange, strawberry pink, eggplant, peppermint pink, sea blue, and avocado green. On her wrist, she slipped the turquoise bracelet from Carrie-Bri. She put on the burnished silver earrings with purple stones from Joe (which he had given her for her eighteenth birthday (the dude had cleaned out, vacuumed, washed, and waxed all the cars as was his usual paying job, and used the earnings to buy her the earrings)), as well as her banana shoes. It was fun to be bright on her favorite of days – dark and covered in gray.
