Colors
Over at the house, Mom was leaving to help set up the madrigal dinner decorations, Joe was headed out to work, Carrie was practicing her Tae Kwon Do forms in preparation to wrap up her black belt, and Francs was in the process of making an enormous chicken, egg, and cheddar omelet. That boy could stuff away more than anyone she knew. And Linnea was making plans for her Caribbean cruise to seven countries in October between five or six phone calls from Cherry in Iowa.
“Orange! Orange!” Puck cried, as soon as he saw Mom, pointing to her new top.
He was right on his color. He then switched his attentions to a bag of several wads and rolls of brightly colored clay, which he shared with Linnea, and spoke of more of his knowledge of colors. He did this while stomping around in Linnea’s soft brown boots with pom-pom tassels.
Early in the afternoon, Carrie-Bri and Francis left to take Grandma Snicketts to the dentist to fix a broken tooth.
And there was unfortunate news of both Grandpa Snicketts and Ju Hobcoggin being hospitalized for pneumonia, all rather sobering.
