Crab Rangoon
Tuesday, February 17, 2009
Carrie-Bri came over to spend the day that gray Tuesday morning, where Puck was already busy sitting in his “rocking car” (rocking chair), building armies of water bottles, and spilling his tub of bouncy balls all over the living room.
So while Carrie studied physics and Arabic, Puck emptied his entire box of crayons on the rug and sorted through his toys. There was little better to do on cold days in winter.
Around 12:30, Carrie was becoming anxious for lunch (a rarity), which was not helped by watching “Anthony Bourdain” while waiting for Lucia to pick her up. Carrie was craving crab rangoon.
She returned later with two large bags of the delicious, sweet, rich feast, and shared a couple of pieces with Collette, who had never tried it. Then she brought out Puck’s first fortune cookie. He liked this novelty and thanked her with a “kiss”, which was equated with holding up his cheek for her to kiss.
“He’s like, ‘You may kiss me now,’” said Carrie with a laugh of the little prince. “He’s so fat!” she’d say. “Look at that chubby belly.”
He was, indeed, a little stuffed pumpkin.
