1. Yali and Patience soak the yard with the garden hose because they “had to” water their rock garden
2. Evaluate Joe’s level of interest in the following assigned educational categories of the morning : worms during a rainstorm (high); drawing suns and clouds (moderate); reviewing the sounds of the alphabet (non-existent)
3. In the mail : geranium air freshener for our personal zoo
4. Mistakenly take Yali and Patience on somewhat intense three-mile hike high up into the Wildwood hills; explore white snail shells, vulture in tree, turtle, “lambs ears”, and underground spring
5. Order Culver’s cheese curds and fries on the half-hour drive home “to keep both kids awake”
