Day #018

“Quarantine” Day #018

  1. Puck attacks honeysuckle yard hedge with new pruners, then clears out the entire overgrown “shade garden” in the back yard
  2. In the mail… even more fun during a quarantine… package of face masks from Patience’s Chinese orphanage nurse; paint-by-sticker book (undersea creatures) for Yali and Patience to use during worship services; “The Velvet Room”, one of my favorite books growing up (Depression era story)
  3. Yali and I visit with extended family in a large circle behind Grandma’s apartment building, six feet apart of course
  4. Puck and Bob have a socially-distanced hang-out “outdoors only” for a few hours; later hear them stomping around on the roof after dark, because that’s just what they do…

Puck in the kitchen, calling to Bob on the trampoline (not allowed indoors)…

“DO YOU WANT PINEAPPLE JUICE IN A TINY METAL CAN INSTEAD?… I’LL TAKE THAT AS A YES!”

A moment later, I heard the side glass door fall behind him as he marched back out, calling…

“I KNOW YOU’LL LOVE THIS!”
