Egg Dyes
Friday morning was all cold and rain, just as it had been the previous night. Puck wore his new knit hat sporting the Icelandic flag and listened to “Adventures in Odyssey” on the ride over to the house.
Once there, Puck pounded out some tunes on the piano with Joe for awhile, who had no classes, due to the beginning of the Easter weekend.
For the afternoon, Joe and Francis ramped Joe’s new BMX bike and Linnea made a home for the first-found toad of the spring. She was very happy with this toad and made him his own bathtub, bookshelves, and ant dinner.
“Toad! Look what you did!” could be heard from time to time from Linnea’s World behind the love seat where the toad seemed to be wreaking havoc on the Playmobile house.
This occupied Linnea for hours until Dad made her give the toad back to the outdoors.
Meanwhile, Carrie was practicing all of her forms in preparation for black belt. And Puck ran around with her sonic screwdriver until it was time to dye eggs.
This interested him very much. He watched his mom and aunts slip hard boiled eggs into crushable plastic dipping containers filled with pink, orange, yellow, green, and blue dyes. Puck was particularly fascinated with the green eggs and held them carefully in his hands.
That evening, OLeif was happy to crash at home after a long day at work and pick up some ice cream as the evening wore on.
