End of the Scarf

Puck had learned how to be mischievous. A certain grin on his chubby face quickly told Collette if he was planning on being a tease. He was learning how to mimic faces pretty well. Collette knew that the mischief was derived from OLeif.
A fanfare arrived at 3:24 in the afternoon, as Carrie knitted the final row of the 1,042 rows of the Dr. Who scarf. After it’s blocking process, the scarf measured well onto twenty feet in length. Carrie was very happy to be rid of the three-week side project.
“I know how I can pay to live in South Africa!” Rose exclaimed, coming into the kitchen where Carrie was blocking her scarf.
“Hate to break it to you,” said Carrie, “but they don’t give you work permits over there. Already tried.”
“No, I won’t need a job,” said Rose happily. “Over there, if a grave has been robbed, they think that your soul can be sucked inside the grave. So they bring the most valuable things from their house and stick them in the hole instead. So I’ll just go over there and dig a bunch of holes around the villages. Then they’ll come out, throw in their special things. And I’ll be rich!”
Meanwhile, OLeif was celebrating the launch of his newest website at work.
