Evening of Music

News from Philmont arrived that Joe had seen his very first tornado. One of the greatest goals of his life had been accomplished at the age of 21.
At breakfast, Puck was busy with his oatmeal.
“Is it oatmeal,” he asked, “or stuff?”
“What is ‘stuff’?” Collette asked him.
“It makes you sneeze,” he replied.
The honeysuckle was heavy and sweet every in St. Louis that spring. And the day was warm.
After picking up a book about Mr. Roger’s childhood… over at the Silverspoon’s for the day. Curly was back in town for the weekend. He would be living in Nashville for the summer, refurbishing Macs and living in a little apartment for the first time.
At one o’clock or so, OLeif took off for Sunrise’s graduation party open house, after which he brought back a cupcake for Collette.
That evening, OLeif was joined by Curly and Izzy to play a jam session at the Wheels’ property in celebration of their daughter getting married. Collette and Puck tagged along after the boys stopped in to the fuel station for drinks.
It was also a warm evening. Collette and Puck walked around the two large ponds where some of the kids were feeding the fish, and through the woods while the boys started to play. Then the harmonica man showed up and the crowds gathered to listen and chat until the roasted pig was ready for serving. This was followed with Rosie’s pies and cookies, angel food cake, etc.
They got to see baby Hesed briefly. And the boys played well as people sat and listened and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
They left just before the square dancing started.
And in other good news… Gloria had amazingly found the silver fishbone earring from Carrie from Uruguay which Collette had lost three weeks ago.
