Rose had been busy teaching Puck new forms of ‘hello’. This included:

  1. Greetings!

  2. Salutations!

    And:

  3. Greetings and salutations!

Meanwhile:

  1. Dad working from home for the day…

  2. Carrie prepared the last bits of her costume next to a glue gun in the living room with piles of buttons, ribbons, lace, and feathers for the photo shoot on Sunday evening.

  3. Rose picked up her car from servicing and hit the library.

  4. Francis took Puck in a ‘space pod’ (vertical laundry basket) ride all over the house…

Is that a dalek?” Carrie asked Puck.

No, that’s not, Sun,” he replied seriously. “That’s not a dalek. That’s my house. I’m a space dooooood!”

In the afternoon, the cluster of gastronomes chowed down on everything from grilled cheese baskets from DQ (that was Linnea), to bags of microwave popcorn (the boys).

And that evening, Collette sent OLeif to bed before 7:30 in order to stave off the incoming cough and cold… while she continued her seven-night streak of the Olympic Games.
