Five Years

On the way to the house that morning, Puck listened to his custom CD of tunes, selected by Carrie.
While listening to one particular Spanish song, he called out:
“God’s singing!”

When arrived, OLeif helped bring in Puck and his car seat (as he had to play for convocation at seminary that morning).
Almost immediately, Carrie whipped up a strawberry smoothie for Puck and turned on various collections of Doctor Who music videos and episodes, to Puck’s delight. He got himself ‘all comfy’ on the couch wrapped up in a blanket with Donkey.
He then found Francis’ old camp utensil set and laughingly pretended to eat the basement door with the spoon.

Meanwhile, Dad and Joe commenced in a brief rolled-sock-throwing match.
After which, Collette and Francis brought back Little Caesar’s: four pizzas (two pepperoni, two cheese), cheesy bread, and breadsticks.
Everyone sat around the table and discussed random clips of Mulan, The Emperor’s New Groove, etc.

In the afternoon, a shipment arrived from Oriental Trading Company with supplies for Joe’s birthday party. Puck participated in opening the boxes, with great anticipation, rummaging through the articles of interest.
Then Carrie-Bri put her rollerblades on him and rolled him around the house.

And it was OLeif’s and Collette’s fifth anniversary. So Puck went to Nana’s and Papa’s for the night while OLeif and Collette made another attempt to visit the Boathouse in Forest Park.
It was closed early again.
So they visited Outback.
OLeif loaded up on house salad, a loaf of pumpernickel bread, stuffed shrimp, beef tenderloin, mashed potatoes, a third of Collette’s Alice Springs Chicken slathered in cheese and bacon, some of her seasoned French fries with honey mustard sauce, two Cokes, and half of a large slice of peanut butter pie topped with fresh whipping cream and chocolate curls.
He was pretty stuffed.
