In which wizardry is revisited… reluctantly… except for the chocolate… o, yes, the chocolate…

Around the one-thirty mark, Collette woke from the pain of the canker. This was unusual. OLeif sent over an ice cube, which seemed to temporarily dull the pain.

In some news of the morning…
The excessive heat warnings continued. Just about every day. The following week highs were already set over 100. And no rain.
Collette’s well-deep canker-sore continued to plague her morning.
Puck had made up his mind that he was going to marry Anneliese. No prompting.
Also, Henri was to have a little boy in October.

The office was so silent, it was weird.
Like the old, quiet days on Eagle Hill.
Construction-orange paper.
Ben-Hur. 24 hours of CD, and it was on reserve already. She had to get cracking.
These were not the old chocolate-filled Heaven Scent donuts/glass towers of chocolates Ivy days… No, indeed, they were not.
Then Baby Ruth stopped in for a couple of hours to catch up with Mercy Ministry work.

Meanwhile, Dad, Mom, Joe, Linnea-Irish, and Puck were leaving to pick up Francis from Beaumont at around three o’clock.
So Collette took Carrie to her next chiropractor appointment in the city.
And further attempts to locate the missing link to Alexander Hamilton…
Rose had brought back a package of Chips Ahoy! soft chocolate chip cookies for Francis before getting back to work on refinishing the antique dresser in the garage.
Linnea-Irish and Puck were gathering chicken eggs at the neighbors’ house.
And Collette hunted up old letters in the basement.

Francis returned with stories of altitude/dust/dry weather-related nose bleeds, watching sleet storms in the mountains, rainstorms, being sung “Happy 87th Birthday, Francis” in the dining hall by Joe’s friends at base camp for no reason, and their donkey, Sir Gallahad who would throw up and try to knock the boys off the trail.
He had also bought a box of strike-on-anything matches.
And… had a peach fuzz goatee, which was mildly amusing on his sunburnt face.
He had a great time.

It was Harry Potter time.
Collette wasn’t so huge a fan of the series in general, but tradition was tradition. And she had seen the other long nine films in theaters, so she figured she would stick it out and complete the marathon.
Sold Out 8:05 showing for: herself, OLeif, Bing, Joe, Magnus, and Rose.
OLeif and Magnus grabbed some Penn Station.
Brief wait in line.
Junior Mints.
Some laughs.

On the way home… an alpaca farm trailer from North Carolina pulled over by the police.
