Game Season
Basketball continued that day. It began with a loss for the girls, but another valiant effort, this time at playing on a full court. Linnea was awarded a red star for her exemplary defense. Between takes, Linnea’s and Eleda’s friend, Mandarin O., massaged Linnea’s shoulders, and braided Eleda’s hair.
After the first game of the day, Collette joined Grandma Combs, Mom, and Carrie-Bri on a trip to the grocery store. Collette and Rose were preparing Indian food for Sunday evening, and supplies were needed. It wasn’t the pick up days for visiting the grocery store, as Super Bowl Sunday was only the very next day.
A snack of kiwi-pear Snapple, white teas, and Hawaiian wheat rolls sustained them on the ride to David’s Bridal for Carrie to order her dress, and then back to the middle school for another round of basketball.
Meanwhile, Gloria and Puck spent the afternoon together while OLeif joined Theodore and Izzy at the auto show and the scuba shop.
And Francis’ game ended in a close loss, 33 to 31. It was a close game from start to finish.
