Halloween
Halloween.
And the sun had resumed its place, casting glow on all the brilliant yellow and dark red of the trees.
OLeif was gone with the kiddos, of course, so Collette and Puck spent their morning at the Silverspoon’s out in the sunshine and the cool winds, helping Gloria rake leaves. Theodore was working with students, proctoring practice exams. And Izzy was helping a friend with his Eagle project.
Gloria was busy with various projects, including putting together a set of Wittenberg Church doors for their church Reformation party that night.
Once Puck had gone down for his afternoon slumbers, she and Collette watched a few recorded episodes of White Collar.
Then to the house. As they pulled into the street, they saw Dad, who Collette thought was Francis at first, rumbling down the road in Francis’ go-cart. He then sped down the road with Francis watching on.
Inside, Grandma Combs had already arrived, and they then all (minus Joe, Rose, and Francis) traveled to Grandma Snicketts’ place to visit for awhile. On the way, Collette was informed that Carrie had taught Dad how to do the moon walk.
Later that evening, the entire family, plus Gretyl, gathered for hot dogs and bratwursts. And they sat around the little fire out front, some of them, while Francis shot off firecrackers and smoke bombs. And Mom and Carrie took the girls and Puck trick-or-treating.
Puck was all bundled up in his stroller with a blanket and his felt jack ‘o lantern candy bag.
“I’m goin’ twick or tweeting!” he exclaimed.
And in the end, they raked in a good amount of stuffs, including Dr. Suess bobble-heads.
