Hmmmm...

[7:17am] It was apparently Magnus’ sister’s birthday – Anne Whippoorwill. And Ivy had jury duty, so Collette once again, took over the office for the day. In new news, Carrie would be accompanying Eve to New York at the end of the month to visit Diana during her three-week conference. They would be staying with Eve’s second cousin. Carrie had also managed to convince Lucia, Monday morning, that the government hid surveillance cameras in hairdryers at upscale hotels, and Lucia believed her.

But the jury duty was canceled after all, and so Ivy returned from their rainy weekend in Branson, bearing gifts as usual: a light-sweet candle with Collette’s name on the jar amongst butterflies and daisies and a bottle of good barbecue sauce. Meanwhile the staff and the fire marshal, and other persons, discussed the requirements to be moved into the building by Mother’s Day. Collette, who was not terribly interested, did her own paperwork for the day instead, over another Ivy-donut.

Later that evening, OLeif and the kids headed to the movies for another Mission Impossible and Collette decided it wasn’t so bad having another so-so-whatever-normal day.

So that night as I lay in my attic so bare
I resolved that I would run away-oh,
And all for to honour the waggoner’s fare,
Some silver spoons took for me pay.
Oh, dear me, how can it be?
The life of a servant is melancholy.
