Hunt Egg

Puck was interested in selecting an outfit for the day.
“You may wear anything you want,” OLeif told him, “as long as it’s proper.”
Several minutes later…
“I need help, Dad! I don’t know which one’s ‘proplier’ enough!”
He emerged from his room in jeans and Cards t-shirt some time later to find OLeif immersed in writing papers on the couch…
“Dad, you haven’t laughed all day.”
“I haven’t? Well, tell me a joke.”
Puck grinned…
“A worm ate a spider.”
“That’s not a joke!”
But OLeif was laughing.
Meanwhile, Collette prepped 39 deviled eggs for Sunday.
So Easter had kind of crept up out of nowhere again. Almost to the point of forgetting it was going to happen. After all, it sounded like autumn outside.
Once OLeif had completed a paper, readings, installing a modem for Tasha next door, and Puck had added a clip-on tie to the ensemble, they took off, back into the world of reality.
Izzy was around for the weekend.
40 Easter eggs were waiting for Puck, buried in the grass and bushes. And a basket with stuffed bunny waiting on the porch. Puck was off on the quest.
OLeif and Izzy got busy bartering over iPads and software.
Gloria had meat, potatoes, and rolls ready for lunch, in plenty of time for Collette to catch a disappointing game.
As Theodore put it…
“They need to get their ears pinned back every once in awhile. Keeps ’em alert.”
The afternoon grayed over once again as the boys discussed things on the deck.
Gloria rolled up some cookies for a few showers.
As they prepared to leave, a house painter arrived to check out the exterior of the house.
Easter Saturday, completed.
