Another Sunday and Collette was up by 4:16 to take a shower in preparation for the four hour drive to Kansas City. She was so unbelievably tired, she feared it might border on the fatigue she felt upon first arriving in Hungary those four years earlier. Although she had not experienced the extent of jet-lag with which Diana had dealt the first five days or so, she had fallen asleep even on the drive back to the hotel while the fireworks lit the sky, and almost as they walked the Vaci and toured the streets… It had been pure exhaustion.

She had also seen at the conference the older sister of Jimmy Sparrow, who was 23 or 24 and was to be married October 23rd at the Jewel Box, where her parents had been married. Her oldest brother was also now married, and Jimmy and another sister were in college. There were nine altogether, and scattered all over the place. Collette could hardly believe she had first met the Sparrow family those twelve years ago already.

In other news, another hurricane had struck up the Gulf Coast, and OLeif had lost his glasses.
